what is mindfulness

We live in a world of constant distractions and most people are addicted to social media and try to obtain fulfilment by seeking validation from status, money and products.

Being mindful means we look at our world and let go of our unhealthy attachments in order to find more happiness and fulfilment and in order to help others be free. A busy life and mind results in careless decisions with harmful consequences. Our carelessness creates a cycle of mistakes and cognitive dissonance, and we end up with many toxic habits that cause suffering to both ourselves and others.

But with refection and the courage to let go, we can find equanimity amidst the chaos. Being mindful doesn't require meditation, yoga or any special books. There are endless tools and method used by different kinds of people, which are helpful, but not necessary.
