The first step to becoming vegan is to make a decision. Once you make a clear decision and commit to overcoming the obstacles you face, you can progress towards being vegan. You will make a lot of mistakes, but these will all be lessons you can learn and grow from over time. Veganism isn't about being perfect, it's about being open minded and doing your best to make mindful and informed choices.
The first step is to find some vegan foods to eat. Make use of free online resources, like recipes, videos, and websites to find the foods that suit your taste preferences. To help you get started, I've created a free meal plan, with a grocery list and full recipes.
